Can I disable the grid like a regular input? If so, how?

Hi.

I want to be able to disable the grid given certain conditions, similar to disabling a standard HTML input. I would like to prevent users from selecting items, and if possible, make it grey out. Is this possible? If so, how do I go about it?

The grid is wonderful, by the way.

No, you cannot disable the grid yet, but I agree that this feature should be available (and for other controls as well).
