Class Reference??

I seem to be having the same questions as everyone else, how do I set/clear selections in a CheckedList.
I saw the message that said to use setSelectedItems but how on earth would i have found that out by myself. there doesn't seem to be any documentation about it on the site.
And what are the arguments to the function?
